Jimmy Carroll 3 Anglesey Terrace Greenore was known affectionately as the "The Woofter" Carroll. He played International golf for Ireland against Scotland in 1948. He was a garda in Store Street Dublin. His father was Thomas (Tommy Carroll)and mother Mary "Minnie" OHanlon. Tommy was a guard on the last train to Greenore in 1951.
Jimmy married Mary McKeown and they had eight children. The eldest is Tom Carroll.
