The old ruins at the foot of the Big River at Gyles Quay Brother and sister Angela and Joe McDonald lived in the bottom house here.Angelas son Tom Flanagan trained as a mental nurse in Ardee ,went to England ans was a charge nurse in Napsbury Hospital,St Albans.The top cottage belonged to Henry Gallagher and Minnie Rafferty Gallagher.
