This monument was erected by Peter Shiels of Jenkinstown in memory of
His beloved father James Shiels of Jenkinstown who departed this life on the 10th March 1866 Aged 75 years
Also his mother Bridget who died on the 21st August 1865 Aged 64.
and also his brother Patrick who died on the 8th of November 1864 Aged 27.
