Sacred to the memory of Nicholina Carthy who departed this life 28th July 1847 Aged 16years and 3months.Her mourning family have the strong consolation of believing she is not lost but gone before for them which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. Also sacred to the memory of Charlotte Carthy her mother the beloved wife of Ross Carthy Esq Carlingford daughter of the late Fredrick Grome Esq Sycamore Hill of Galway.She died in Jesus Oct 30th 1861 Aged 72 years. To her to live was Christ and to die was gain. And in the memory of the above named Ross Carthy late Lieutenant in the Royal Longford militia who died in Christ in Dundalk Aug 2nd 1866. His hope on his dying bed was thus expressed "I am not afraid to die because I trust in Jesus" Reader can you say this now. Aged 89 years.
