One of the Riverstown Martin's, when just a young fella in the early 70's I used to gather mushrooms in the "White" fields at Jenkinstown with my great Uncle Tom !
Also went out with Ownie Rankin on so many Saturdays Mackerel Fishing off his boat!
Also herded cattle for Larry G to the Ravensdale abattoir for 2s a day!

I know i said it before kevin but everytime i log on to this site it gets better.DICK BROWN, JOE MC GUINNESS, DINNY OAKES, DANNY DELAHUNT, FRANCIS GRIBBEN. Myself and the Brothers use to help Frances in the old convent when he was working in the Garden.Danny use to walk home up his lane behind our home house. He would give us 20p for helping him carry the shopping bag up for to his house. We would head straight to Anna Murphys with the 20p. Good times. These are people i Remember as a kid growing up.
